"Old Wave" by Garry Berman is a fantastically funny tale. The characters are loveable and the journey they take is an adventure you don't want to miss out on. From the one liners to the comedic situations, this book is a fun read for all and will leave you feeling truly entertained.
Over the past two evenings I immersed myself in the story of a one and a half hit wonder band from the '80s and their current day comeback. I could relate to the story in a way and it was layered with more similes than a simile writers convention and humor dryer than the Sahara, and I like dry humor. The story meandered through the bands antics of present day with frequent flashbacks. I had trouble putting it down. An entertaining read.
Nothing is more enjoyable than relaxing on a warm summer day with a good laugh-out-loud book, and "Old Wave" won't disappoint. Take this one to the beach, on vacation, or just the next room and get comfy. Music fans will appreciate the modern-day tale of some 80s "one-hit-wonder" bands and their efforts at career revival.
